My missus’ little sister accidentally won us 64 grand, still crying lmao 💀

Idk why I’m even posting this, just needed somewhere to vent because my head’s still spinning.

So I’m Chase, 28, live out in western Sydney with my partner Chloe and her 13yo sister Ava. Long story short, their dad vanished a few years back and then their mum passed away not long after, so Ava’s basically been our kid since then.

Love her to death, but fuck me dead, Sydney is so cooked atm.

I’m doing early shifts at a warehouse in Wetherill Park — heavy lifting, same shit every day. Chloe’s stuck in retail in the CBD dealing with absolute fuckwits daily, and by the time we crawl home through traffic we’re both just completely rooted.

Pay hits the account, you reckon you’re laughing for about five minutes, then rent, petrol, groceries, bills... gone. Standard story.

We weren’t exactly starving or anything, but definitely just running on the spot.

Anyway, the one thing we never skipped was Friday movie night. Just duck into Woolies for half-price snacks and spend 20 minutes arguing over what to watch. You know how it is.

A couple weeks back Chloe got a tiny bonus from work, so we thought stuff it, let’s actually do something, and took Ava into the city.

Did all the tourist shit — Luna Park, grabbed fairy floss, wandered around the harbour, just made a day of it.

Late afternoon we’re grabbing kebabs near Darling Harbour and I end up having a quick chat with some bloke at the next table. Seemed like a decent enough guy, bit of a chatty bastard, and somehow we got talking about work, bills and the usual shit.

Before we head off he mentions this app he’d been mucking around on and reckons he’d had a couple of decent wins from it.

I just laughed and said, “Yeah righto, good on ya mate.”

Didn’t think anything of it at the time.

But later that night Chloe’s in the shower, I’m just scrolling my phone on the couch, and I remembered what the bloke had mentioned.

Thought ah look, stuff it, why not.

Threw $60 in, got some welcome bonus thing and started spinning. Had a few tiny wins, then hit some random feature and the balance suddenly jumped to $1,200.

I was deadset waiting for the catch.

Hit withdraw straight away just to see if it was a scam, and like 15 mins later my ANZ app buzzed and the cash was actually there.

I was like wtf 😂

So after that I started jumping on every now and then after work, just mucking around on the couch.

Sometimes won a couple hundred, sometimes lost the sixty, but it just made things a bit easier with the day-to-day stuff.

Then last week I’m waiting for my flat white at a cafe near Circular Quay, just killing time and spinning on my phone.

Suddenly the screen goes completely mental.

The music changes, the multipliers start going absolutely rogue. Higher and higher, and I’m just staring at it like what the actual fuck...

Then boom.

$64,000.

I swear to god I yelled “GET FUCKED” so loud the poor barista nearly dropped the milk jug.

Absolute scenes.

Everyone was staring at me like I was a psycho but I didn’t even care.

My hands were shaking so bad I could barely hit withdraw.

But here’s the kicker — because it was a massive lump sum, ANZ instantly put a hold on it.

I’m sitting there refreshing my app bank for an hour, sweating bullets thinking yep, too good to be true, got absolutely rolled.

Had to actually call their fraud team and explain to some lady I wasn’t laundering money lmao.

She was pretty chill though, unlocked it, and about two hours later the full 64k cleared into my saver.

Legit changed everything for us.

Paid rent months in advance, cleared every single bill we’d been dodging, and finally got Ava all her school gear without checking the price tags.

We’re still working the same shitty hours and still arguing over what to watch on Fridays, but honestly it’s like a massive weight’s been lifted off our shoulders.

Haven’t slept this good in ages 🙏
